Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Sign For Free — the website, mobile apps, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Service is

Sign For Free lets you send documents for electronic signature and sign documents sent to you. Signatures use a self-claim identity model: signers confirm their identity by the email address the request was sent to. Completed documents are delivered to participants by email and can be verified independently with the built-in verifier — verification does not depend on our servers.

We provide the signing workflow as a neutral technical facility. We are not a party to the agreements you sign, we do not review your documents, and we do not provide legal advice. Whether an electronically signed document is valid or enforceable depends on your jurisdiction, the type of document, and the circumstances of signing — you are responsible for confirming that electronic signatures are appropriate for your use case.

2. Accounts

Creating and sending envelopes requires signing in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. Recipients can sign without an account through the link sent to their email.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• send documents you do not have the right to send, or impersonate another person or organization;
• send spam or unsolicited signature requests;
• upload malware or content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction;
• interfere with, overload, or attempt to bypass the security of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Plans, ads, and purchases

The free plan is supported by rewarded ads in the mobile app and has usage limits. Paid upgrades are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to the store’s payment and refund terms in addition to these Terms.

5. Documents and retention

You keep all rights to the documents you upload. You grant us the limited right to process them solely to run the signing flow and deliver results to participants. Server-side copies are deleted automatically after completion or expiry — keep the emailed completed document as your record. Deleting your account deletes your envelopes, including in-progress ones, whose pending signature requests are voided.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or, for free users, USD 10).

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings (see How to delete your account). We may suspend or terminate the Service or your account for violations of these Terms, with notice where practicable.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms; the current version is always available on this page. If a change is material we will give notice in the product before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
